One perk of being a sound designer is venturing out into the world to capture new source. Here are a few pics and vids from some of those adventures.

Firearms (2023)

The Undead Labs crew spent a day recording firearms at a local gun range in Thurston County, WA.

Nature Ambiences and Wind (2021)

The Undead Labs Audio Team visited multiple sites in Eastern Washington over two days. Shown here: Columbia National Wildlife Refuge, Umtanum Creek Canyon and Wild Horse Wind Farm.

Snow (2018)

I headed up to Snoqualmie Pass in Jan 2018 to record some deep snow with a a few fellow field recordists.

Crowd Recording (2018)

I co-presented a talk on crowd recording at AudioBash in Bellingham WA with Jack Menhorn. After the presentation, we recorded a variety of different crowd vocalizations with the attendees.

Amusement Park (2017)

I organized a field recording trip with about a dozen fellow Seattle field recordists to visit a local amusement park in Carnation, Washington. Some of the highlights include a functioning steam engine train ride, a small roller coaster and other rides, and variety of barnyard animals.

Glass Breaking (2015)
